Program Options 2011-2012
Lessons are provided by the Summit Learning Center. Nothing about Summit-Central is ordinary - from the steep & deep, to the high speed quad chairs to the buffed out cruisers, from the terrain parks and pipe, to the tree skiing / riding to the gentle learning areas. Whether snowboarding or skiing, SLC has a class for you! SLC has taught generations of Washingtonians to ski and ride, including a vast multitude through LWSC-ESR, over the years! Summit-Central has perfected a comfortable, safe, and fun learning environment, with a few new school twists thrown in. Again this season at Summit-Central, we are thrilled to offer access to our premier Central Park terrain park! SLC instructors will teach students the ins and outs of not only how to excel in the park and pipe scene, but how to OWN it! Facilitated by nationally accredited freestyle coaches, students will surely take their riding to new heights! Note: learning in the parks and pipe are at each instructor's discretion. The instructor will make a determination when students have advanced to the adventure! LWSC Eastside Ski & Ride Program Options: [1] Lesson+Bus-SKI $325 For skiers of all ability levels. Includes bus transportation, 1-3/4 hours of quality class instruction per week and plenty of time to practice new skills while skiing with friends! [2] Lesson+Bus-RIDE $325 For boarders of all ability levels. Includes bus transportation, 1-3/4 hours of quality class instruction per week and plenty of time to practice new skills while riding with friends! [3] 2+2 & Bus-SKI $450 An extended ski lesson program consisting of 2 hours of instruction in the morning and 2 hours of instruction in the afternoon, with time in between to practice new skills while skiing with friends! [4] 2+2 & Bus-RIDE $450 An extended snowboard lesson program for consisting of 2 hours of instruction in the morning and 2 hours of instruction in the afternoon, with time in between to practice new skills while riding with friends! [5] Free SKI + Bus: $325 Free-skiing for skiers at ability Level 6+. Come hone your free-skiing skills in this high energy, challenging program. This class is not only for those wanting to improve technique and style, SLCs experienced instructors will teach you where to find optimal snow conditions and how to refine your skiing on Summit Central’s exceptional terrain, parks and pipes! As snow conditions permit, skiers learn mogul techniques and airtime! [6] Free RIDE + Bus $325 Free-riding for boarders ability Level 3+, able to link turns on intermediate terrain. Come hone your riding skills in this high energy, challenging program! This class is not only for those wanting to improve technique and style, SLC's experienced instructors will teach you where to find optimal snow conditions and how to refine your riding on Summit Central’s exceptional terrain, parks and pipes! As snow conditions permit, riders will learn jumping, grabs and tricks! [7] Bus ONLY $225 For experienced skiers/boarders in grades 7-12 whose parents affirm their child's ability levels: Skiers must be Level 7* Snowboarders must be Level 4* *For descriptions of Ability Levels, see the Application form within the Registration page. Read the latest news from ESR! Passes and Tickets Discounted seasons passes to the Summit at Snoqualmie are available to students in our program. Limited Pass Valid at all areas of the Summit at Snoqualmie EXCEPT Alpental. Ages 13 – 18 = $259 + tax Ages 12 & under = $209 + tax Unlimited Pass Valid at all areas of the Summit at Snoqualmie INCLUDING Alpental Ages 13 – 18 = $299 + tax Ages 12 & under = $239 + tax Day Ticket Pricing Students may also purchase a day lift ticket each Saturday on the bus at full retail price+tax. Students can pay by cash or check. Checks are to be made payable to The Summit. Washington State and local sales taxes are included in these prices. Ages 13 & up = $59 Ages 12 & under = $40 Refund Policy There will be no refund for any student dismissed for disciplinary reasons. THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS AFTER January 12, 2012 EXCEPT FOR MEDICAL REASONS. THERE IS A $25 NON-REFUNDABLE REGISTRATION FEE. Conditions of Registration Registration Rights and Lift Tickets are not transferable. Students must return to the buses at the proper loading time. Buses leave Summit Central promptly at 4:00 PM. The student must ride the bus to which assigned. Students will be permitted to return from the ski area in a private car only with written consent of the parent/guardian. The written consent must be presented to the bus chaperone before the bus leaves the loading area in the morning. No tobacco, liquor, illegal substances, gambling, vulgarity or profanity is allowed. Buses and students’ belongings are subject to search by LWSC-ESR officers. Students will be responsible to LWSC-ESR personnel for their conduct and actions at the loading areas, on the buses and at the ski area. Transportation only is a limited program and students must meet the stated qualifications. There will be no exceptions. The Application, Release of Liability and Medical Authorization Forms must be completed and signed by the parent/guardian and the student in order for the student to participate in the program. Violation of any of the Conditions of Registration may result in disciplinary action, including dismissal from the program. Dismissal from the program is determined by the LWSC-ESR Disciplinary Board. |
